SMALL MODULAR REACTORS
Here is a very complete discussion and overview on the many SMR projects in the planning or even laboratory research. The article in Power Magazine also speaks of negative opinions, which estimate that SMRs will always be too costly. But in most countries of the world, the tide is turning, and SMR's are seen as the mandatry small base load producer in a grid with many intermittent electricity producers like solar and wind. Westinghous seems to be ready to install the first APR300 SMRs.
